Sweet Potato Baby

Your fetus has become amazingly mobile (at least compared to you), passing the hours yawning, hiccuping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking and swallowing. And, baby's finally big enough that you'll be able to feel those movements too!

How far along? 18 weeks
Maternity clothes? Just jeans
Stretch marks? Nope!
Sleep: Still sleeping great
Best moment this week: Chris felt her move!
Movement: getting more active every day
Cravings: Veggie corn dogs with Coney Island mustard and fresh fruit
Gender: little girly girl
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out? In
What I miss: Went up to our fave winery for the big Memorial Day shin-dig and felt pretty left out sans wine glass.......
What I am looking forward to: still waiting for that belly to pop!
Weekly Wisdom: leaned from experience today that hiking thru the woods uphill for an hour isn't as easy as it used to be!
Milestones: I finished my preceptorship this week! Not baby related but she was sure making the fatigue worse!

Update!

Baby's skeleton is hardening, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone, and fat is finally accumulating around it. The umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and those little fingers and toes are now topped by one-of-a-kind prints.

Hey all, things are going great, I have a majorly busy week coming up and I'm exhausted just thinking about it so this is going to be just about it for the posting this week.....unless Chris decides to post something! We did the NAMI walk today and our team, Brent's Buddies raised very close to our goal of $1500 so YAY!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you to everyone who walked and/or contributed!

Getting Bigger!

Continuing the march towards normal proportions, baby's legs now outmeasure the arms. And, finally, all four limbs have functional joints. Your fetus is squirming and wiggling like crazy down in the womb, though you probably still can't feel the movements!

A fun little poll. It's supposed to be weekly....we shall see if I stick it out. I already deleted the part about weight gain...tee hee!
How far along? 15 weeks!!!
Maternity clothes? busting out a few things...
Stretch marks? Nope!

Best moment this week: Got an A on my midterm! I know not bambina related but it was really great!
Movement: I don't think I feel anything yet....
Food cravings: grilled cheese and a Frosty!
Gender: Girly Girl!
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out? In
What I miss: this week.....pinot noir
What I am looking forward to: tie between first kicks and actually looking pregnant! Still no belly!
Weekly Wisdom: someone told me not to raise my arms above my head or the umbilical cord would wrap around the baby's neck.......okaaaaaaaayyyyyy........
Milestones: I think baby has toenails now...!
