Exciting News - Revealed!!

Yesterday, Trista and I used a little bit of today's technology to announce something very exciting. We thought it'd be really fun to announce this virally - over the internet through FaceBook, MySpace, and BlogSpot. The wait is over, and yes the Slowik family is getting bigger with the addition of ANOTHER CHIHUAHUA! Sorry for the let down to all of those who were expecting a baby.

After Trista's Saturday five hour math class yesterday, she stopped by the pet store to pick up some stuff for Ruby and there just happened to be a dog rescue organization there called "All Terrier Rescue" with four nine week old chihuahua's up for adoption. Apparently, there was a breeder in New Mexico who was breeding far beyond her capabilities. A pregnant mother was one of the rescued and she had her litter while under care at the rescue.

Maybe it was from being in a state of confusion after a her five hour math class, but Trista though this would be a great idea! Even more surprising, was my agreeing to this. We had wanted another dog for about a year ago, in fact, about a year ago we bought one but then had to give it back because that dog was in pretty bad condition.

We have named him Diego and he weights a little over two pounds. Ruby is being slow towards acceptance, but they did play this morning so that's a good sign. We are very excited to have him!!! Here a couple videos and pictures:
